TRANSFORM - Smart Transformation Labs as Virtual Future Farms for Central Germany

The TRANSFORM project aims to ensure the smooth transformation of existing operational systems into future-oriented agricultural farms. The focus lies on the close integration of economic and ecological perspectives, addressing regionally significant issues such as novel irrigation strategies and solutions, advancing plant protection through digital technologies, optimizing logistics processes, and promoting biodiversity while enhancing the effectiveness of ecosystem services. Smart Transformation Labs (STL) located in Magdeburg and Bernburg serve as hubs for knowledge transfer and provide hands-on experiences with digital agricultural technologies. These hubs showcase optimized digital infrastructure for agricultural farms, including demonstrators utilizing virtual and augmented reality technologies. For on-site demonstrations of enhanced digital infrastructure, technical and presentation modules for existing vehicles are being developed. These modules facilitate knowledge transfer within agricultural operations and support the digital transformation process. The integration of mobile components using modern mobile communication technologies connects various sites, enhancing both technical capabilities and the advisory process.
